Hey everybody Scott Yonehiro with Ballistic Body Fitness back again and I'm here to teach you how to put together a high intensity circuit workout. Now one of the things we like to utilize here at Ballistic Body Fitness is called a Tabata drill. Tabata was originated in Japan and what it is, is putting together anywhere from 3 to 4 to 5 different exercises back to back without any rest for a timed event to make sure that you are really torching that metabolism, reaching that higher level of being able to dig deep into the muscles and deep into that fat burning ability. What we are going to do now is use three exercises that I showed you in our last video. One is the push press, the second is the pushup with mountain climbers and plank form and the third is going to be the heave hoes and we are going to put them together back to back without any rest. Now the way the Tabata drill works is we are going to do this for 20 seconds apiece. You can do it for a little bit longer but for this example we are going to go with 20 seconds. Marcia over here is going to do the push press for 20 seconds. As soon as the alarm goes off she is going to move straight over to the plank and mountain climbers for 20 seconds and then straight into the heave hoes for 20 seconds there and then a 20 second rest right after. That's how the Tabata drill is going to be set up. Let's go and start it going. So we have a timer over here for 20 seconds. Marcia in this 20 seconds is going to try to accomplish as many repetitions as she can with perfect form. One of the things you have to keep in mind is always making sure you have good form so you ensure no injuries and you want to make sure you are maximizing the movements. Awesome! 3 more seconds, beautiful. The alarm went off, now we have another 20 seconds without any rest. Marcia is going straight into the plank with mountain climbers, pulling in that core, making it nice and tight creating that vacuum. This way she is really working that core, working the chest and shoulders, and triceps muscles by holding herself up. We have 5 more seconds. OK? Hope you enjoyed those, have a good one!
