Xilinx ISE window closes when opening a project error SOLVED

I haven't found a solution to this second program if you find the solution post it in the comments. Apparently this problem is due to ISE not being compatible with windows 8 c:\Xilinx\12.2\ISE_DS\ISE\lib change the name of these files 1. libPortability.dll to libPortability.dll.orig 2. libPortabilityNOSH.dll to libPortability.dll Open Xilinx again, it should work fine
