Dear Customer, Please see the below instructions and video on how to backup your data in Big Red Book (BRB) Version 4. • It is vital that you backup your BRB data on a regular basis (we recommend daily) • Please backup to the computer & to external devices (e.g. USB/ External Hard Drive). Not doing so risks the loss of your data (e.g. if the pc crashed) & having to re-enter • Even if you have an automatic/online backup, you should still take manual backups • If you get any errors backing up/restoring or advising it did not complete, close BRB, restart the pc and reopen BRB and try backing up again. If the issue still occurs, please contact us. Steps 1. Open BRB, highlight the company you want to backup, click 'Backup', click 'Yes' 2. Click 'Browse' -- click on the location where you want to backup to 3. You can add a password in 'Password Protection', but please note without this password you will not be able to restore the backup 4. If you want to include Book Enquiry files/Invoice and Statement Forms, then tick these boxes 5. Click 'OK' - A message saying 'Backup completed' should soon appear 6. Please note: A backup taken of a particular company slot will overwrite any backup of that same company slot if backing up to the same location
