Some things to consider: Action Cam - Cheap! Less options (can be a good thing) Decent enough renderings Go Pro Hero 2 - More options - can do more with it Many different types of mounts (included with camera) Great video quality I captured video (one camera in each hand, side-by-side), but neglected to test both cameras at 720p, since that's the Action Cam's highest setting -- both cameras were set at their highest setting: Emerson is at 720p and the Go Pro is at 1080p. The Action Cam captured better quality videos than I thought. It does not like close-ups, though, and prefers light over dark. The sound within the video is actually from the Go Pro. I could've picked one or the other, but the Go Pro's was the better of the two. Also, Action Cam was picking up some whining noise that I thought was my laptop, but it was also making it outside. I wonder if it was caused by the two cameras so close together. I'll keep an ear tuned to see if it continues to do this. Lastly, the Emerson is durable enough...I accidentally dropped it...on the tile floor. :/ It survived with no damage whatsoever.
